* * * * FLASH TRAFFIC: WASHINGTON UPDATE * * * *

APOCALYPSE NOW?

Is Iran planning an August 22nd attack against Israel and/or the U.S.?

(WASHINGTON, D.C., AUGUST 9, 2006) -- Is Iran planning an apocalyptic strike against Israel and/or the United States for August 22nd? If so, what should the U.S. do to protect Americans and our ally? Such questions are worrying a growing number of officials in the White House, at CIA, and the Pentagon, and for good reason.

As a devout Shi'ite Muslim, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is telling colleagues in Tehran that he believes that the end of the world is rapidly approaching. He also believes that the way to hasten the coming of the Islamic Messiah known as the "Hidden Imam" or the "Mahdi" is to launch a catastrophic global jihad, first against Israel (the "little Satan") and then against the U.S. (the "Great Satan"). What's more, Ahmadinejad is widely believed to be pursuing nuclear weapons that would give him the ability to carry out his apocalyptic religious views. Some experts even speculate that Iran may already have several atomic bombs and the means to deliver them. When I interviewed President Reagan's Defense Secretary Caspar Weinberger in February of this year (just a few weeks, as it turned out, before he passed away), he told me on the record that he believed Iran had already gone nuclear and this was why Ahmadinejad was speaking so boldly and provocatively.

In recent days, Ahmadinejad and his advisors have said that Iran will answer the world regarding the future of its nuclear program on August 22nd. That happens to be a very significant date for Muslims. It is the anniversary of the supposed "night flight" by Mohammed from Saudi Arabia to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem to heaven and back again. Thus, some experts wonder if Ahmadinejad's "response" on August 22nd could come in the form of an apocalyptic attack against Israel and/or the United States. If so, time is short and the clock is ticking.

It is hard for many Americans to imagine an Iranian leader (or any other world leader) actually trying to bring about the end of the world by launching a nuclear attack to destroy millions of Jews and Christians. But it is precisely this type of attack that I wrote about in my recent political thrillers, The Ezekiel Option and The Copper Scroll, to help people understand this brand of radical Islamic thinking and the implications of thinking for Western civilization. On page 358 of The Ezekiel Option, a fictional Islamic character insists that Israel is going to be "wiped off the face of the map forever." Five months after Option was published last June, Ahmadinejad gave a speech vowing to wipe Israel "off the map" forever. In the novel, Iran forms a military alliance with Russia and starts buying state-of-the-art weaponry from Moscow to accomplish its apocalyptic objectives. But last December fiction again became reality. Iran signed a $1 billion deal with Russia to buy missiles and others weapons.

Muslims are not the only ones who have apocalyptic end times views, of course. As an evangelical Christian from an Orthodox Jewish heritage, my novels are based on a number of "end times" prophecies that the Bible says will be fulfilled in "the last days." For example, the Hebrew Prophet Ezekiel -- writing 2,500 years ago -- described a future Middle Eastern war to annihilate Israel that is known today by Bible scholars as the "War of Gog and Magog." Jews and Christians who take Ezekiel's prophecies seriously believe that at the last minute the God of Israel will supernaturally intervene to defeat Israel's enemies in this war. By contrast, the Muslim version of the war of "Gog and Magog" found in the Koran concludes with Muslims winning the war. The Ezekiel Option and The Copper Scroll imagine how such prophecies could play themselves out in modern times. But suddenly this is no longer the stuff of fiction. Ahmadinejad actually seems intent on launching the "War of Gog and Magog."

Bernard Lewis of Princeton University, arguably the world's foremost expert on Middle Eastern history, wrote an essay for the Wall Street Journal yesterday warning that Ahmadinejad's apocalyptic objectives could lead to a "cataclysmic" attack on August 22nd. Lewis conceded he could not be certain the attack would come on this date or soon thereafter. But he felt compelled to explain to Americans just how dangerous Ahmadinejad's thinking is, especially in light of Islamic, Jewish and Christian "end times" theology such as the "War of Gog and Magog" and "Armageddon." How, Lewis asked, can you negotiate with a man who believes it is his religious duty and mission to bring about the end of the world? How can you deter a man who wants to die and go to paradise, but believes he won't actually die in such a war because Allah is on his side to kill millions of "infidels"?

Lewis' warning was prudent and needed, as was his careful explanation of the apocalyptic thinking driving the Iranian leadership at present. But Lewis' conclusion was surprising, to say the least. "How then can one confront such an enemy, with such a view of life and death?" he wrote. "Some immediate precautions are obviously possible and necessary. In the long term, it would seem that the best, perhaps the only hope is to appeal to those Muslims, Iranians, Arabs and others who do not share these apocalyptic perceptions and aspirations, and feel as much threatened, indeed even more threatened, than we are. There must be many such, probably even a majority in the lands of Islam. Now is the time for them to save their countries, their societies and their religion from the madness of MAD [the Cold War policy of Mutual Assured Destruction]."

I would certainly agree with Lewis' "long-term" strategy of trying to win over Islamic moderates. But how much time do we have? Isn't he suggesting that Iran may be planning "cataclysmic" attacks to begin as early as August 22nd? That doesn't leave a lot of time for "long-term" planning. Obviously, we all hope and pray that August 22nd is not the day Ahmadinejad has chosen to launch the apocalypse. But there is little doubt in the White House and at the CIA that the Iranian leader is feverishly trying to build, buy or steal nuclear weapons and that he will very likely use them once he has them.

All of this raises very serious questions for the President and the nation. How much time do we have to pursue a diplomatic track with Iran? At what point do we have to conclude that negotiations are going nowhere? Are we prepared to live with a nuclear-armed Iran? If so, how? Why? If not, what is the President prepared to do to protect Americans and our allies from an Iranian nuclear-strike, or nuclear blackmail?

In his famous "axis of evil" speech on January 29, 2002, President Bush made the following case: "We will work closely with our coalition to deny terrorists and their state sponsors the materials, technology, and expertise to make and deliver weapons of mass destruction. We will develop and deploy effective missile defenses to protect America and our allies from sudden attack. And all nations should know: America will do what is necessary to ensure our nation's security. We'll be deliberate, yet time is not on our side. I will not wait on events, while dangers gather. I will not stand by, as peril draws closer and closer. The United States of America will not permit the world's most dangerous regimes to threaten us with the world's most destructive weapons."

Today, the country is deeply divided over whether using military force in Iraq was the right thing to do. But the Iranian nuclear threat is now far worse than the Iraqi threat of having or obtaining weapons of mass destruction was then. President Bush has a decision to make and precious little time to make it. For let's be clear: should Iran go nuclear on this President's watch, all the gains made to date in the War on Terror will be wiped out overnight. That is neither a legacy this President wants, nor this nation can afford.

The Real Truth

THE REAL TRUTH

Why is it that with all of the opinions written about this subject, that no one seems to tell the truth about why it is something to discourage? In fact, if all I had ever known about the debate is what I hear in the public discourse, I too would have to conclude that the opposition to same-sex issues is merit less.

However, that is not possible for me because I DO know the truth. I also know that the real truth about this subject will probably never see the light of day. This blog is probably the only public forum you will ever see this presented. I should beat around the bush and sneak up on it or present all of my case first to set this up...But this is the only prelude I am going to offer.

Two parts hydrogen plus one part oxygen= water. No matter whether you are a Liberal or a conservative ...whenever you put two parts hydrogen together with one part oxygen, you can call it beer, coffee, milk. acid or, oil; but It will still get you wet because it will be water. That is how I view the reality I am going to present concerning the real concerns over' same - sex marriage’. This is the real reason why Christianity and the Bible can not lend acceptance and legitimacy to' same-sex marriage'. The drive behind same-sex relationships is Spiritual... It is not natural. You are not born with it... It is not a virus or any other type of disease transmitted by natural means... It is spirit. Not Holy spirit...the other one...Devil spirits. The reason God's Word puts it in such a negative light is the same reason that 'Lighthouses' shine their lights on the shores to make clear the dangerous rocks and waters that will destroy your ship, if you do not heed. The ocean is not evil and neither is the shore; but ships can get torn -up badly if they do not avoid the dangerous rocks. Not one place in God' Word does he utter one condemnation or judgment on individuals… just on the practices that have danger. What's the difference you say? The same as the difference between cancer and a cancer patient…hate the cancer, not the ones who are afflicted.

Now, we have to go deeper...To do so you need to have a picture developed. A military perspective.( I don't want the anti-military getting excited--it is an analogy) The spiritual kingdom is divided into two parts...the angels of God and the angels of the Devil ( that's why they are called devil spirits).AII are spiritual beings and can not be seen, heard ,smelled, tasted or touched by humans. The ones who are with the Devil were cast down by God to Earth. No spirit is allowed by God (this is not dependent on their obedience; they literally are unable) to manifest in the 5-senses realm without human assistance or permission. God set it up that way so that the ultimate authority on Earth would be 'human free-will’. The reason the military analogy is given is to show the chain of power in the Devil's kingdom. From grunts to 5 star generals. Grunts will typically show -off individually when messing with people. (By the way that is all they do ...mess with people. a lot like the wives tale of Gremlins.) On the other end of the kingdom, you have your more powerful, higher-ranking spirits who never act alone but always in groups like platoons, squads, divisions ,legions, etc…However, more like a 5 star General. This spirit (the one that drives same-sex feelings) is one of the most powerful devil spirits in the kingdom. Lots of spirits travel under the command of spirits this big (sometimes in the thousands). However, with all their power, they can do nothing in the 5 senses realm unless they inhabit a human host...and they can not do so with out some kind of permission whether covert or overt. What has always been one of the main deterrents to men about doing something to land them in prison? Inmates with names like 'Bubba' ... I assure you these are not mild girly-men spirits. These hosts in prisons are often the most dangerous and most feared. of all inmates. Another example would be the men in the cities of the old testament for whom Lot had to offer up his own daughters ,in order to prevent them having their way with the men that visited him.(of course, they did not know they were angels). They are extremely powerful in evil, and very seductive and intent on getting their way. Opening doors to these spirits into the most powerful positions of influence in our society IS THE DANGER.

The most powerful and cohesive force in any society is the family. This is where God is taught and belief in him maintained. The Devil needs to destroy the family institution in America because that is what stands between him and taking over and making Christianity a crime. So why is Christianity so hated by the Devil? Because in every Christian is literally Christ and all the powers of Christ. That is why the word Christian is so different...it means "Christ-In-You"( the hope of glory). Everywhere a Christian is ,there is potentially more power spiritually than even that of the Devil himself, much more even than any of the 5 star generals and all of their legions. So the best way to beat Christians is to keep them off-balanced and ignorant of his devices. It is also vital to keep Christians un-aware of the power over the Devil .The Power that each Christian has. This is why he is also trying to dumb-down the Church.

This is not about fear of same-sex marriages. It is spiritual warfare...I know probably only a handful of people will ever read this seriously and an even smaller handful will believe it. But, God does not hate those in same-sex relationships--and neither do I...However, just as with cancer, you love the patient but fight against the disease.

Just so you know, trying to convince those of us who do know and believe this truth, will be completely futile. We are not going to be talked out of it anymore than you could convince us that...Two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen will not make water. No matter what you call it or us...you will still be all wet................................microsog57

Response to the 'hate group' calling themselves Christians I who call the death of our men and women in combat "the will of God"....microsog57

It is a very good thing that the true God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, does not punish us for our sins, because accusing a just and holy God of 'cold-blooded -murder is not a' long life' plan. I have heard it said that the commandment "thou shalt not kill" proves thatWar is wrong. If that was truly what that commandment said, then God helped a lot of hisPeople break that one, when he helped them defeat their enemies in the old testament. In fact, one of the greatest soldiers of all times was 'DAVID’...God called him...” a man after God's own heart." Saul lost.his job as King, because he disobeyed God-.He was told to utterly destroy the Amalekites. He did not do that. He was told to destroy all the animals of the Amalekites. He did not do that. He disobeyed God and therefore was fired as King, by God. Now, you could go off and blaspheme or ridicule or denounce all you want, but you can not say "war is wrong and say GOD said so. David was not perfect and he did sin, but it was never a sin for him to obey God and go up against the enemies of GOD AND TAKE THEM OUT. The truth of God's Word is perfect. Whenever it looks like a contradiction, it is usually the fault of your preconceived ideas about what is truth. Concerning “thou shalt not kill’. You have to check out the meaning in the original language to get truth over religion. In the text, this word' kill' means murder. You know...Iike abortion. That is murder...in war, it is killing. And there is a cause. But is it just me or aren't the same people whining about' War is bad' the same ones who will fight to the death for the right to 'murder' unborn human-beings?

Now we come to these people who 'in the name of God' condemn those who have died in service to their country, and cheer their deaths as the will of GOD coming to pass. These people have wrongly applied the commandment..."thou shalt not kill" and have ignored the commandment that says...”thou shalt not take the name of the lord thy God in vain...” I realize that most people have always believed that that was the cuss-word G.D.That is not completely true. The greater meaning according to usage of this action is to use God's name to give your words the authority as if God were speaking. This would be, fine if what is being said really is God's will. On the other hand; if what-is being said is not God’s’ will and it is presumptuously spoken without the authority of God, then that IS taking the name of the Lord in vain. In the Old Testament, if some one spoke in the name of God and the things they said were not of God...the law said they were to be stoned to death. Thank GOD that is not true today. Why isThat not true today? JOHN 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his onlyBegotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life"...The Gospel seems to be a foreign subject to anyone who teaches that God kills in order to teach. Gospel means ‘the good news’ which is that Jesus Christ paid the price for our sins. We do not ever have to. Hebrews 2:14,15 …”forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that he (Jesus)might destroy him that had the power of death, that is ,the Devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage…” How could you believe that GOD would use a method under the power of The Devil, as a teaching tool? That is the same as saying that GOD treats his sons death and obedience to the Cross with total disrespect. Could you really love a God that killed your loved ones? Of course not!! That is why the Devil and his servants teach that God does kill to punish or because he needs another rose petal in heaven. In other words—God murders….that IS BLASPHEMY. Those people who preach these lies about my God are to be ignored. 2COR 4:1,2 …”Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; but have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty NOT WALKING IN CRAFTINESS,NOR HANDLING THE WORD OF GOD DECEITFULLY…” again in 2COR2;17…”For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ…” these people are handling the Word of God deceitfully and are corrupting the true meaning to line up with their political agenda. God’s word says to speak in Christ…the Gospel…Jesus Christ died in our place for all of our sins…all means all. EPH.2:7-10 (read ) we are not saved by works therefore we can not lose it be works ,for we are GOD’S workmanship…not ours and not the America haters. If you hate America I know you also hate God, therefore, I say to you ‘DO NOT TAKE THE NAME OF GOD IN VAIN by spewing your filthy lies .Finally, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. God Bless America-the last stop before heaven.

Introduction

Let me introduce myself to the community. My name is Michal. I am married to Joy and she is...My Joy. We have a beautiful Christian daughter of 14. Between us and our previous marriages, we have 4 other adult children. I am 56...and Joy is...not as old as I. We are all involved in a Bible based fellowship and hold God's Word in high esteem. We are all Spirit-filled and manifesting believers. We teach those who want to know...how...but never bust down doors to do so. God's Word was and is only for those who want to believe it. No force feeding needed. In fact, whether or not a person chooses to or not to believe is never my responsibility, nor can I ever have any control over that. I am the only one that I can control and that is a full time job.

I love to teach and help rescue God's people from the clutches of this world I only teach the Bible and how to understand it and apply it to everyday life and situations. I consider the Bible to be the only and final authority on what the Bible says and what God meant when he had ..."holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit". I accept nothing but scripture-rightly-divided-as authority on' what is written '. I do not accept theology as truth unless it agrees with God's word. I do not accept 'established church doctrine' as truth. There are over 55, 000 different denominations calling themselves Christian and claiming the Bible as their source of truth and doctrine. There is only one true God and he desires that all come unto "the knowledge of the truth" ONE GOD can not be perfect in many truths. Just as there is only

ONE GOD there can only be ONE TRUTH. A perfect God would never trust the interpretation of his Word to imperfect man. I believe therefore, that the only way to understand God's Word is to let the Word interpret 'itself. That is exactly how God had it written and that is exactly what it does ...It interprets itself...This is where I come from and this is what I bring to the table. This is what I have been doing for 32 years and I have never seen God's Word ever be wrong,

Inconsistent, or contradict itself. All errors I have seen and made have been from 'assumptive' interpretation followed by trying to make the Word agree with a pre-conceived doctrine. Man in his arrogance is always trying to 'be smarter than God. Psalm 138:2 says that God "has magnified his word above all his name". I am not a rocket scientist, but I do know that when God magnifies something above his name, that makes it more authoritative than I or any other human can be...it is also written in 2 Peter 2:20”...knowing this first, that 'no' prophecy of scripture is of any private interpretation..." Private is a Greek word=idios-meaning one’s own. Not one word of God's word is subject to the interpretation of anybody but whom God says is qualified and the Word of God is the only qualified authority on God. Theology therefore is in grave danger of not only gross arrogance but in some cases...blasphemous. Therefore, I will yield to no authority but God's Word. This position is why I also must state that I believe in only ONE GOD: The GOD and FATHER of my Lord, JESUS CHRIST, the only begotten son of God.

The Father is divine: therefore, the Son is divine. The Father is and has always been…A Deity…Therefore, after God raised Jesus Christ from the dead and seated him at his own right-hand…He too is now a Deity. We believe God is God and the father of our lord, Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus Christ (the same yesterday, today and forever) is as God declared when he said” … This is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased.” We do not call God a liar. We believe he knew who He was and who his son is. We also worship and praise and pray to the Same God that Jesus prayed to and worshipped and praised. This is a topic of intense search and research of God’s word that I have been involved with for 32 years. I do not speak of it lightly or without the ability to back it up .I do not accept as arguments any other authority but the ‘rightly-divided’ Word of God. I also have NO-FEAR of this ‘third-rail’ subject. I invite it….I love it. I count it as my service the God, to defend the integrity of his Word.
